The Monitoring Association (TMA), in partnership with SDM Magazine, invite professional monitoring centers to enter the Excellence Awards competition for 2021. These awards recognize monitoring centers and their outstanding personnel who perform in the highest professional manner, demonstrating exceptional service to their customers and community. The deadline to submit an application is March 12.

New in 2021, TMA is introducing a newly restructured Monitoring Center of the Year category for application, which segments entrants based on the scope size of their business. A specially appointed task force reviewed the TMA Excellence Awards competition earlier this year to evaluate all aspects of the application, judging, and awards process.

“We trust that these changes will make the competition even more equitable, valuable, and transparent for all monitoring centers and their talented professional support teams,” said Steve Walker of STANLEY Security, who led the task force.  

Awards will be presented in each of the following four categories: Monitoring Center of the Year, (Enterprise and SMB); Monitoring Center Manager of the Year; Monitoring Center Operator of the Year; and Monitoring Center Support Person of the Year.

A panel of judges will review all submissions and select a winner for each award category. The finalists will be announced in May and the winners will be awarded via a virtual awards ceremony in June. The 2021 Monitoring Center of the Year winners will be featured in SDM Magazine. Individual award winners will receive recognition as part of the feature article, as well. The winner and runners-up will additionally be featured on the TMA website and in TMA Dispatch.
