A dozen years of golf, a dozen winners a year, nets a gross of lucky and talented players. But everyone was a winner at the AIREF 12th Annual Golf Classic held at the Revere Golf Club in Las Vegas yesterday.

The 11th annual Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation (AIREF) Golf Classic, held just outside Las Vegas, may have taken place on April Fool’s Day, but with 111 industry professionals playing golf to raise money for an important cause, fools were in short supply.

Although it was held on April Fool’s Day, the success of the 11th Annual Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation (AIREF) Golf Classic was no joke. All laughs were credited to a great day on the golf course.

The Ninth Annual Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation (AIREF) golf tournament will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at the Revere Golf Club in Las Vegas, one day prior to ISC West.

Studies earmarked by the Alarm Industry Research and Education Foundation (AIREF) have, over the years, demonstrated the usefulness of alarm systems and the importance of police response to alarms — and most recently, shown the support of law enforcement officials for the Security Industry Alarm Association (SIAC), and its work to improve alarm management practices across North America.

The Alarm Industry Research & Educational Foundation (AIREF) represents the electronic life safety, security and systems industry, under the auspices of the Electronic Security Association (ESA). Since AIREF’s beginnings in 1977, foundation members have been focused on improving education in the alarm industry as well as conducting research that public safety officials can use to better protect and serve the community, and dealers, distributors, manufacturers and monitoring stations can use to increase acceptance of their products and improve public relations.
