FSI and Nice have finalized the strategic partnership agreement announced on Aug. 30, 2023. The deal includes an investment by FSI of 100 million through a reserved capital increase and the joining of two representatives in Nices Board of Directors: Carlo Bozotti, former CEO of STMicroelectronics who will be vice chairman of the board and Carlo Moser, FSIs investment director.

The partnership will reportedly support Nice’s growth plan, which has completed seven strategic acquisitions in Europe and North America since 2018, with a total value of approximately 400 million.

The most recent one, Nortek Security & Control, now Nice North America, took place in 2021. In 2022, the group revenues, pro-forma for the acquisition, were 773 million, up 40.7 percent compared to the previous year.

A new facility in Brazil, in Limeira, was also inaugurated on June 12, 2023, result of an investment of more than 20 million. A state-of-the-art building was constructed on an area of over 20,000 square meters, including a smart factory inspired by the principles of Industry 4.0 and an export hub perfectly integrated into Nices ecosystem, which will play a key role in the company's development strategy in Latin America and globally, according to the announcement.

"The partnership with FSI is a significant step in our development path and allows us to have additional resources available to continue investing in projects that are strategic to our mission: making a positive impact on peoples quality of life through innovation that goes hand in hand with research, sustainability and continuous improvement,” said Lauro Buoro, founder and chairman of Nice.

“The partnership with Nice is the first investment of the new fund FSI II, through which FSI confirms its role of growth investor that supports Italian entrepreneurs. Lauro represents the Italian entrepreneurship which has been able to create global leader, with strong R&D in Italy. Our track-record in the technology industry, in which we invested a billion Euro in recent years, makes FSI the right partner to support the next phase of Nice growth”, said Maurizio Tamagnini, founder and CEO of FSI.

Nice is advised by Lazard and Legance Avvocati Associati and supported by Kearney. FSI is advised by BNL BNP Paribas, Unicredit, Ernst & Young, Oliver Wyman and Bonelli Erede.
