The 2025 SDM 100 Top Brand Choices
This SDM 100 brand-usage report details the top technology vendors and distributors that earned their business in 2024.

According to comments from the annual SDM 100 Report, 2024 was a “mixed” year for many security dealers. High inflation and interest rates and an unsettled election cycle made for uncertain times for many. In spite of this, as a group the 2025 SDM 100 companies brought in the highest total annual revenue in a decade and increased both residential and non-residential sales revenue. Much of this was due to the technology driving customers to upgrade or purchase new security systems, particularly video and AI-based options. So which security providers did these dealers generally turn to in order to supply these solutions?
SDM asked each of the 2024 SDM 100 companies to share their top three manufacturers and top three distributors, based on volume purchased. The resulting lists below represent the wide variety of suppliers security companies in the installation and monitoring channel rely on to help them complete their projects.
These brand-usage lists were compiled from the 2025 SDM 100 Report. Out of the 100 companies ranked, 85 of them listed their manufacturing and 84 listed distributor partners. SDM combined all of their responses, and ranked the manufacturers and distributors by the number of mentions each received. Beyond the top 9 manufacturers and top 8 distributors listed in order, mentions were distributed among a number of other suppliers.
