Snoqualmie Valley School District Selects Honeywell to Automate Security & Building Operations

Honeywell has been selected by the Snoqualmie Valley School District (SVSD) to modernize and integrate its building systems across 13 campuses into a single, cutting-edge automated control center. The new partnership will help enhance safety, improve responsiveness and increase operational efficiency for the district.
SVSD will leverage the Honeywell Enterprise Building Integrator (EBI) platform to manage the campuses in its district more efficiently through a single connected, intelligent dashboard.
Across the district, the EBI platform will unite oversight of elements such as access control, HVAC management, video surveillance, fire life safety monitoring and building scheduling. The ability to seamlessly integrate these inputs in one platform will empower SVSD to act quickly and decisively in any situation, enabling heightened situational awareness and round-the-clock monitoring to reinforce the well-being of the more than 7,500 students and faculty throughout its school communities.
“Our long-standing partnership with Honeywell is instrumental in creating secure, efficient spaces for our students to thrive,” said Dan Schlotfeldt, superintendent, SVSD. “By upgrading to the latest Honeywell building platform, we are able to stay ahead of the curve to further ensure our facilities are safe, efficient and ready for the current and future needs of our students, teachers and staff.”
Honeywell’s upgraded EBI solution was configured to meet SVSD’s unique operational needs, including:
- Combining multiple building systems on one platform: By using an open platform with a streamlined management interface, Honeywell’s scalable system offers security, comfort and operational analytics. The system features real-time data that meets cybersecurity standards.
- Bolstering security with integrated video monitoring: Honeywell’s Digital Video Manager (DVM) enables SVSD to integrate key security components, including IP cameras, video analytics and access control to monitor live video from each campus and automate responses.
- Offering integrated map-driven displays: With Honeywell’s Command and Control Suite (CCS), SVSD can access map-driven displays that provide situational awareness via on-screen access to the integrated security videos, enterprise dashboards and other vital process information that is critical in an emergency.
“At Honeywell, we’re not just upgrading systems; we’re using automation to help customers including SVSD reimagine the full potential of what a safe, connected learning environment can be,” said Sudhakar Janakiraman, president, Honeywell Building Solutions. “Our partnership with SVSD exemplifies how our cutting-edge technology can empower schools to respond faster, operate smarter and create spaces where students and educators can excel.”
