International Fiber Systems introduces a new model for its existing VT1101M series mini-fiber optic video transmitter. The VT1101M series are miniature fiber optic video transmitters that convert an incoming video signal and transmit it optically. The IFS VT1101M-AC models have the capability to use a CCTV camera's existing 24V power supply to operate. The VT1101M-AC model is typically installed in an outdoors weatherproof enclosure or within a protective fixed camera dome. This series is a miniature-designed module and was introduced to fill the need for a camera-mounted fiber optic transmitter that could take the standard video output and convert it to be transmitted optically over fiber. The VT1101 transmitter and VR1100 receiver are one of the most demanded products within the IFS line. By utilizing the camera's existing 24V AC power source, the installer does not need to factor in another power supply, eliminating a separate 120-V line.
