Pioneer Music Company (PMC), a distributor of consumer and specialty electronics for the Midwestern market and a PowerHouse Alliance member, expanded its 149-year-old business with a fifth location in Des Moines, Iowa.
Designed with integrators in mind, the Des Moines location features just-in-time inventory, one-day shipping to anywhere in the territory and same-day courier service to anywhere in the local metro area. Residential and commercial dealer customers of the new location will have access to one-stop shopping of the company’s line card, featuring hundreds of brand-name products right off the shelf. The new location will also feature a training facility to support dealers.
PMC Des Moines will be led by Connor Smith, who is moving up the team from the Omaha location, joined by new team member Shawn Woolman.
“Opening a new location has been a milestone to show the growth that PMC has had, and our success in helping dealers,” said PMC Vice President Alec Haight. "The Des Moines staff will bring the difference of PMC to Iowa with hands-on and above-and-beyond service.”
Dealers in the area celebrated the new Des Moines facility at the grand opening event on Oct. 12.

PMC’s representation includes Kansas, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri and Southern Illinois markets with locations in Chanute and Lenexa, Kan.; Omaha, Neb.; Chesterfield, Miss. and now, Des Moines, Iowa.
